How Do You Play?

There are a few ways to play...

"Baccarat Style"

First you need at least 2 or more people to play and each person will need to have their own character card and deck, (the deck contains only 50 cards and is full of attacks, equipment, and modifiers) .

The objective of the game is to attack your opponents deck. You do this with your character card and cards you draw from your deck. You win when their deck is completely depleted. No matter how many people play you will always attack the person to your left, so until you get down to two players you cannot attack the person that attacked you.

Setting up to play is easy just place your character card next to your deck and your discard pile will go on the other side of your character.

Flip a coin to see who goes first, then follow 3 easy steps.

STEP 1 DRAW - On your turn DRAW a card from your deck and place it in front of your character card.

STEP 2 ATTACK Your character must ATTACK on your turn and will automatically defend your deck on your opponents turn. Total and resolve conflict damage. Follow any additional rules on the card.

STEP 3 DISCARD Now discard the card in play and put it into your discard pile, it is now your opponents turn and they follow the 3 easy steps.

You lose if you have no cards in your deck.

"4 Card Reserve"

This way is for those that like more strategy and really changes the dynamic of the game. First you need at least 2 or more people to play and each person will need to have their own character card and deck. The objective of the game is to attack your opponents deck just like before, except this time you draw four cards from the deck and use them as a reserve. You will still follow the same mechanics in the Baccarat style except after the DRAW phase you will then choose which card in your reserve to play for your ATTACK phase.
STEP 1 DRAW - On your turn DRAW a card from your deck and place it in your reserve, you should now have 5 cards in your hand unless you have been attacked with a card that has you discard your reserve
STEP 2 ATTACK Your character must ATTACK on your turn and will automatically defend your deck on your opponents turn. Total and resolve conflict damage. Follow any additional rules on the card.

Step 3 DISCARD - Now discard the card in play and put it into your discard pile, it is now your opponents turn and they follow the 3 easy steps.
You lose if you have no cards in your deck.

"CUSTOMIZE"

Customizing your decks is a fun part of any trading card game creating new and exciting outcomes, we have planned an expansion for THROWDOWN! but can only make it available if we hit some stretch goals on kickstarter. With the expansion set you will have access to new equipment and deck modifiers.

You lose if you have no cards in your deck.

"Co-op Boss Fight"

We will release a BOSS FIGHT in the Expansion set.

Oversized 8.5 x 5.5 Boss Card

The Co-op game is a real blast. Together with your friends you try to defeat the Boss Deck. The Boss has a slightly higher base to start, making them a more formidable foe.
In this version set up is pretty much the same except players sit across from the boss deck.
BOSS PHASE - The Boss may DRAW and ATTACK or may DRAW andCHARGE
At the beginning of each turn you control the boss and draw a card and place it face down in front of the boss deck. You then declare if you will take the hit or let the boss charge for a turn, (the Boss can charge for up to three turns but if four cards come out all of its attacks are released at once on the player controlling the Boss that phase really causing some devastating results.) After the Boss ATTACKS they DISCARD their attack Card(s).
PLAYER PHASE -
STEP 1 DRAW - On your turn DRAW a card from your deck and place it in your reserve, you should now have 5 cards in your hand unless you have been attacked with a card that has you discard your reserve
STEP 2 ATTACK Your character must ATTACK on your turn and will automatically defend your deck on your opponents turn. Total and resolve conflict damage. Follow any additional rules on the card.

Step 3 DISCARD - Now discard the card in play and put it into your discard pile, it is now The Bosses turn again and the player next to you follows the steps in the Boss phase.
You win if you still have cards left in your deck and the Boss has none.
You lose if you have no cards in your deck.
